About Us
South Bascom Pediatrics is a group long known for providing high-quality care for infants, children, teenagers and young adults.
Dr. Patricia Ferrari grew up in Rochester, NY. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY. She completed a PhD in Anatomy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1980 and joined the faculty there as an assistant professor. She received her MD degree in 1984 at UNC and then moved to California for internship and residency at Stanford. Dr. Ferrari has practiced pediatrics for over 20 years, first in Palo Alto, then in San Jose. 
Dr. Ferrari lives in Campbell with her husband and son. A favorite pastime is downtime at home, especially cooking, baking, and gardening. She also enjoys traveling with her family.

Dr. Mary Beth Hughes is from the local area and graduated from Prospect High School. She received her undergraduate degree in biology and her medical degree from the University of California, Davis. Her pediatric residency training was at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. Dr. Hughes returned to the area after residency and has been in practice for 17 years. 
Dr. Hughes likes working with children, and in her free time, she enjoys bicycling, skiing, ballroom dancing, and gardening.
Dr. Christianne Strickland grew up in the Palo Alto area and graduated from Castilleja School. She then attended UC Davis, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She received her medical degree in 2006 from New York Medical College, and completed her residency training at Children's Hospital Orange County. She is thrilled to be back in the Bay Area to practice pediatrics. 
In her free time, Dr. Strickland enjoys horseback riding, baseball games, scrapbooking, and traveling.
